A big tip of the hat to Topps Art Director Arvin Catriz... The Cosmic Chrome line really gets at the whole idea behind BattleWax, where we want to celebrate artwork more than we want to celebrate card scarcity. Everything about this composition is strong. The sun complementing the jersey color, the vibrant contrast of orange, purple and blue. Even the harsh overhead sun that was present in the original photograph works perfectly here, as it compliments the giant sun behind him. Love this!
